The one I wore today

The One I Wore Today

I collect the things. I keep them folded in tall black patent leather hat boxes (4) and in a Samsonite hard side case. I don't wear scarves or accessories very often because it is just another item to put on in the morning and one more thing I need to keep track of during the day. But there are a few of my Veras that I wear frequently. This is one of my all time favorites. Pink/Black/White are a favorite color combination of mine, and I love the line drawing on this one, and the simple bouquet of pink flowers. Love the bright pink border! Not all of my Veras are in mint condition, especially not this one, but I love it just the same.

I wore this with my charcoal grey double breasted 1940's coat, black cloche, grey skirt, lavender cashmere turtleneck, black stockings and black shoes. Carried my 1970s black leather Coach messenger bag.

Silk chiffon, hand rolled seam, signed with a ladybug, 18" X 18". Made in Japan loop tag. Pink flower bouquet with black and grey line work on white background.

Note the yellow plastic 45 spider underneath the 2nd shot! kept it for charm factor.

  1. This is one of my favorites from your collection. It's a beautiful piece of simple art of that midcentury thick-line style that I love so much - seen also in the nature works of Charles Harper and the personally-beloved design style of the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show.
